Alternative rules for New Businesses to apply for 2022 Small Business Support Program

If your small business was not operating on 1 January 2021 but has been operating on 1 October 2021, it may still be eligible for the Support.

To be eligible, you will need to show the equivalent of $75,000 or more in aggregated annual turnover.

You must also show a decline in turnover in January 2022 and from 1–14 February 2022 due to the impacts of COVID-19 compared to the alternate comparison periods outlined below.

For businesses not operating on 1 January 2021:

• the average aggregated annual turnover in Q1 or Q2 of FY2021–22.
